The 4th was a bit of a washout, at least by mid-afternoon. We received close to 2 inches of rain over a 16 hour period, ending this morning around 7:30. A gentle steady rain that has cooled things down and ushered in beautiful dry Canadian air. This is the way summer should be. And between last night's rain and last week's rains, warmer temperatures and sun, the garden has exploded. We are now in full summer swing and seem to be rushing head-long towards (hopefully) bountiful harvests all around. Here's a quick look at the progress over the past week.
